Ghising demands immediate rollback of petroleum price hike

Karnali. Chairperson of the Ujyalo Nepal Party (UNEPA) Kulman Ghising has urged the government to roll back its decision to hike the price of petroleum products.

Speaking at a press meet organized in Birendranagar of Surkhet today, he said the government should give special concession in the price hike of fuel to the Karnali region.

“Karnali is expensive due to its remote geography. The government should not increase the price of petroleum products like diesel, petrol and gas to facilitate the movement of foreign and domestic tourists here,” he said, adding that the government should reduce the burden of price hike on the citizens and upgrade the price of petroleum products. ”

Chairperson Ghising said that the government with two-thirds majority would support to create an environment conducive for working. “Some Rs 35 billion has been assured for electrification and transmission line in Karnali Province during my tenure as the head of the government and NEA,” he claimed.

According to him, the construction of the 132 KV transmission line is going on up to Jumla. He said that the party formation in a short span of time did not allow proper management of the party and it had to face defeat as it was compelled to go to the polls.
