Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Anjan Shrestha and Resident Ambassador of Slovenia to Nepal Tomasz Mencin held a meeting at the FNCCI Secretariat today.
On the occasion, the meeting highlighted the potential for expansion of trade and investment between Nepal and Slovenia, underlining the need for further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
On the occasion, FNCCI Senior Vice-President Anjan Shrestha took Slovenia as a potential partner for economic cooperation and hoped to take the bilateral relations to a new height in the coming days. “In recent years, Nepal has seen a number of policy reforms for foreign investment. Now a stable government with a majority has been formed. The private sector is optimistic that this will lead to policy stability. In this situation, the relations between the two countries can be expanded through business, B2B cooperation, business visits and joint platform, and the FNCCI is ready for that,” he said.
Residential ambassador to Slovenia Tomasz Mencin said Nepal and Slovenia have cordial relations and said economic partnership could be further strengthened. Stating that the Slovenian people know Nepal as a beautiful country situated in the lap of the Himalayas and like to visit Nepal, Ambassador Tomasz Mencin expressed the view that collaboration could be increased in technology transfer, innovation and joint investment.
