Kathmandu. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has been conducting various programs under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in various areas such as financial literacy, education, health, natural disaster management, environment conservation, cultural promotion, infrastructure development÷improvement, sustainable development goals, human service and philanthropic work.

Under this, the bank in collaboration with Lumbini World Peace Forum has provided financial support to plant 2000 lemon saplings in Kanda of Khaptad Chhededaha Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 on the occasion of Earth Day under the “One Million Tree Plantation and Protection Campaign”. The work has been done with the objective of expanding the green area, strengthening local food security, using sustainable resources and creating employment to support livelihood in remote and climate-vulnerable areas.

Similarly, the bank has provided financial support to the program organized to raise awareness about the early detection, prevention and treatment of cancer disease and to hand over the money collected from the program to the cancer ward of Kanti Children’s Hospital. On the occasion of Global Money Week 2026, the bank has distributed educational materials to the students of Shree Yuddha Sanskrit Secondary School, Nepalgunj, Banke with the objective of assisting them in their studies.

The Seventh Nepal Economic Olympiad has been funded to promote responsible financial awareness and practical financial knowledge among youths, expand financial literacy, support educational and knowledge-based social development.

On the occasion of Global Money Week 2026, the Bank has organized financial literacy, rallies and awareness programs through various branches and provincial offices across the country by identifying various target groups that are out of financial reach. The bank believes that such CSR activities will contribute to the overall economic and social development of the Bank.
