Kathmandu. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel has issued a 6-point circular on the safety and facilitation of the students who are facing problems due to the relocation of the squatters.
Following the Minister’s directive, the Education and Human Resource Development Centre under the Ministry has issued various directives and requests to make the examination management of students in unsystematic settlements, adjustment of schools in the affected settlements and coordination effective.
The Centre has requested all the local levels to facilitate the transfer of the affected students to the schools where the slum dwellers are removed. In particular, the students participating in the Class 12 examinations that started today have been requested to facilitate them to go to the examination center and make alternative arrangements in the places where the school itself is affected.
The Ministry has urged the local levels to send any complaints, problems or suggestions related to the students and schools of the squatters to the centre.
