Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned of high alertness in view of the possibility of rain accompanied by gusty winds in many parts of the country from Wednesday evening.
Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari said strong gusty winds are likely to occur in Dadeldhura and Doti of Sudurpaschim Province, Bardiya, Banke, Dang and Arghakhanchi of Lumbini Province, Dhanusha and Bara of Madhes Province and Morang of Koshi Province and adjoining districts on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the storm will start at 5:45 pm on Wednesday and end at 7:45 am on Thursday.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, gusty winds and hail in many places of the country as the western system is moving towards the east. The Department has urged all to observe necessary precaution as normal life, agriculture, transport and electricity services are likely to be affected due to adverse weather.
