Kathmandu. Jyotsna Shrestha, vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has announced her team for the upcoming elections. She announced her team under the leadership of FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal.

Stating that the current economic and business environment of Nepal was in a challenging situation, she said the role of the private sector was very important at this time. “Only if we all work together, we can improve the business environment in the country and make progress,” she said. A new government has been formed in the country and it has taken some positive steps. Hopefully, the country will pick up economic momentum. ’
However, the active role of all the private sector is necessary to move forward, she said. She urged the state to realize that the private sector is the main engine of the country’s economy and that it contributes more than 81 per cent to the country’s GDP, 86 per cent to employment and 80 per cent to revenue. He also said that the state should keep these issues in mind while formulating every policy, rules and laws.

A businessman is associated with the employment of thousands of people and the production÷flow of many goods and services. Therefore, the decision to detain a businessman should not be taken only on the basis of any allegations, she said.
He said that if the investigation is completed and if found guilty, action should be taken, and if such a thing is done, they will not have any objection and will send a message that there is a safe and stable investment environment in the country.
