Kathmandu. As many as 50 families who were displaced from their settlements at Balkhu and Banshighat in Kathmandu have reached Dasharath Stadium to register their names. They have stated that they do not own house, land, ancestral property and have low income.

A joint team from the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police is collecting the details of those affected people at Dasharath Stadium.

Preparation is underway to take them to the designated ‘holding center’ after conducting health check-up and psycho-counseling after collecting the details, it is said. Preparation is underway to take them to the Tewa office and residence in Dhapakhel of Lalitpur, the Electricity Training Centre in Kharipati, the Agriculture Development Bank Training Centre in Bode, the Nagarkot Drinking Water Training Center, the Vegetable Market Management Center in Chovar and the Kavre Holding Center.
