Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has urged industrialists and businessmen not to panic. During a meeting with representatives of private sector organizations, including Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCC) among others in Kathmandu today, leader Lamichhane urged all not to be suspicious of the RSP and the incumbent government.

After listening to the concerns of the representatives of the private sector, President Lamichhane said, “I want to sit with you as the private sector seems to be suspicious and a little scared.” There is no reason for you to be afraid. We don’t want to cause any trouble to the businessmen. ’

On the same occasion, President Lamichhane said that the government had to be ruthless as some businessmen and characters were moving forward to control the country’s economy in their hands. It is necessary to control this on time and this is what the government is doing now,” he said. “Regarding the arrests, let me make it clear to you, we want to go to the departure of good governance and economic growth. It can be a bit uncomfortable,” he said.

The private sector has been demanding the government not to crack down on them after some industrialists were arrested on the charge of money laundering and fraud in recent period. President Lamichhane said the problems of the private sector should be addressed for the development of real economy and the RSP has already prepared a roadmap for the same.

Lamichhane also clarified that industrialists do not need to visit their homes and party offices to address their problems. “You don’t have to look at me, my house and the party office. We want to address your problems easily. In the past, you may have had different experiments and experiences, and you may have participated. But we want you to see the change in a different way,” he said.

On the occasion, President Lamichhane made it clear that the government would not make anyone homeless. “We will not make any citizen of the country homeless. There is a problem today, but it solves the problem once and for all. Efforts are being made to relocate people who are at risk to safer places on the banks of the river. The government is involved in the safety and rehabilitation of all, it does not make anyone homeless,” he said.

Earlier, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Dhakal, described the private sector as an area of peace and urged the private sector to work smoothly. “This sector is being attacked in every movement and the private sector is the main target of every movement. Our demand is that this should not happen,” he said.

Dhakal drew the attention of the RSP leadership saying the efforts to keep the private sector in the ambit of money laundering have created more problems. Similarly, President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Birendra Raj Pandey, said that it was necessary to encourage and encourage the private sector in the context of declining capital formation. He also suggested to pay attention to this issue in the upcoming budget.

Likewise, acting president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Dipak Malhotra said that the government should play an important role in development construction and economic reforms, saying the incumbent government has high expectations from the government with a clear majority. He also said that a $100 billion economy is possible if the private sector is included.
