Kathmandu. Some of the main highways that have been blocked due to floods and landslides along with incessant rainfall since the past few days have been opened one-way.

The Mid-Hill Highway at Bokhim of Bhojpur municipality-5, which was obstructed by floods on April 26, the Beni-Jomsom road section at Annapurna rural municipality-3, Jalthale of Myagdi district and the Mid-Hill Highway at Bimirebhanjyang of Lamjung Madhyanepal municipality-10 have been obstructed in a one-way manner, according to Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Avi Narayan Kafle.

“Some highways and road sections, which were completely obstructed due to flood and landslide, have been brought into operation unilaterally. However, the Araniko Highway at Kodari in Bhotekoshi-2 in Sindhupalchowk district has been completely disrupted due to the landslide on April 29. ”

Police have urged the people to travel safely and carefully while traveling on the obstructed and one-way highways as the risk of flood and landslide is high during the rainy season.
