The Bagmati Province government had started celebrating the Province Language Day on Baisakh 7 since 2081 BS.TAG_OPEN_div_15 According to the Provincial Language Act, 2080, the provincial government started celebrating the Language Day in 2081. The Act was published in the State Gazette on November 23, 2080.
According to sub-section (3) of Section (1) of the Act, it was to come into effect from 180 days of its publication in the State Gazette.TAG_OPEN_div_13 Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Bagmati Province, Dipendra Subedi, said that the first State Language Day was celebrated that year as it has completed 180 days since the Act came into effect on May 7, 2081.
Accordingly, the third Province Language Day is going to be celebrated this year.TAG_OPEN_div_11 On the occasion, a rally will be organized from Dudhpati of Bhaktapur to Lancha Falcha Bhatkyapati via Dattatreya-Kamalbinayak to Lancha Falcha Bhatkyapati, Chief of Tourism Office, Kathmandu, said that a rally will be organized from Dudhpati of Bhaktapur to Lancha Falcha Bhatkyapati. He also informed that preparations have been made to organize a special program at Luncha Falcha Bhatkipati as part of the main program after the rally.
