Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is influence of the westerly low pressure system, local wind and low pressure area located in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country at present.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather is generally cloudy in most of the hilly and mountainous areas of the country including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces while it is partly cloudy in the rest of the areas. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Bagmati province, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places of Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country including Koshi and Madhes and partly cloudy in the rest of the Tarai region towards the afternoon. Possibility remains for brief rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and at one or two places of Madhesh Province. Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the remaining Tarai region. There is possibility of snowfall in the high mountainous region.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in the Tarai region tonight. Likewise, moderate rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light rain and snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the mountainous region including Madhes province.
