Kathmandu. Narayan Prasad Ghimire, chairman of Manjushree Savings and Credit Cooperative, has been arrested on the charge of cheating cooperatives.
Ghimire was arrested on the basis of a letter after a complaint was lodged at the Ministry of Cooperatives of Bagmati Province stating that the cooperatives had not returned the money to the savers for four years.
Santosh Rokka, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Circle, said that he was arrested for further action after interrogating him on the charge of cooperative fraud.
The cooperatives are yet to return Rs 150 million to 150 savers.
