Kohalpur Municipality Police Chief Bir Bahadur Thapa said that the municipality has initiated the process to remove the encroachment by giving prior notice and time-limit.TAG_OPEN_div_18 He said, “A 10-day ultimatum was issued on April 29 requesting the people to vacate the encroached area. Most of the citizens are moving their own belongings. We have removed only the structures that have been completely vacated. ”

According to the municipality, 73 households had filled up forms for staying at the holding centre on Saturday.
