Kathmandu. A Turkish Airlines plane caught fire while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Monday.
The plane with call sign TK726 from Istanbul caught fire while landing this morning.
All passengers are safe. The passengers were rescued by opening the emergency door. The plane is now parked in a taxiway. Immediately after the incident, the fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire.
There were 278 passengers and 11 crew members on board. The cause of the fire and other technical conditions are being investigated.
