‘Digi School Award 2082’ held in Lumbini

Kathmandu. The ‘Digi School Award 2082’ was held in Butwal of Lumbini Province. In the program organized by Digi School Global in collaboration with Techpaila Innovations, outstanding students, teachers and tech-friendly educational institutions were felicitated.

Addressing the program, Digi Group President Mr. Bigyan Shrestha said that Digi School has been providing the British standard computer curriculum and interactive eLearning system with an aim to expand digital education of international standards to the schools and colleges of Nepal. The goal is to equip Nepali students with world-class digital skills from an early age to prepare them for a competitive market in the future.

On the occasion, Techpaila Innovations, a new IT company established under Digi Group, was also formally announced. Chiranjibi Adhikari, Cyber Security Expert and Associate Director of Techpaila Innovations, said that the company has been established to make the youth self-reliant and skilled through technology. He added that the gap between education and applied technology sector would be bridged and an environment would be created to connect young people directly with the technology industry through academies, bootcamps and partnerships.

Former President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Rajendra Malla, speaking as the chief guest, appreciated the efforts of Techpaila Innovations to strengthen the base of IT, education and service. Similarly, keeping the youth in Nepal by adopting the slogan ‘Learning by Earning’ will help strengthen Nepal’s digital economy and contribute significantly to the production of skilled human resources.

Pramod Poudel, Principal of Softwarika College of IT & E-Commerce, Amrit Thapa, IT expert, Anita Maharjan, Business Head of Digi School Global and Lekhnath Panta, Lumbini Province Chief among others expressed their views on the importance of digital education, technology and innovation.

The participants said that the program held in Butwal has added new energy to the construction of technology-friendly education system along with the expansion of digital literacy in Lumbini Province. The initiative is seen as a positive step in the field of education and information technology, which aims to promote Made in Nepal technology and the Nepali software ecosystem to the international level.
