Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has sought clarification from President Ram Chandra Poudel after Prime Minister Balendra Shah walked out of the joint session of the Federal Parliament.

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal had allocated time to NC Chief Whip Basana Thapa to speak after NC lawmakers took their seats at the very beginning of the meeting.

Chief Whip Thapa said, “Prime Minister Shah walking out of the parliament at a time when the President is addressing the House is not a normal issue but a serious issue. ”

She also urged the people to respect the constitutional post and not weaken the parliamentary tradition. President Poudel presented the policies and programmes of the government for the fiscal year 2083/84 in the parliament on Monday.
