Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is influence of westerly and local wind in the country at present. Due to this, rainfall is taking place in some places of Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally to completely cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati province, Gandaki province and Karnali province and partly cloudy in the rest of the country towards the afternoon. Light rain or thunder likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province and at a few places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province.

Similarly, thundershowers and lightning are likely to occur at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Madhes and Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of the Tarai region of Koshi province. The Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi provinces has been urged to stay alert as there is possibility of storm in the Tarai region.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted increase in temperature in some places of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Karnali and Madhesh provinces. The weather will be mainly fair in the rest of the hilly and terai areas.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi Province and at one or two places of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province tonight. The Division has urged one and all the concerned to adopt precaution as there is the possibility of gusty winds in some places of the Tarai region.
