Kathmandu. The 63rd report of the Auditor General states that the Guthi Sansthan does not have records of the district-specific land.

The summary of the 63rd report of the Office of the Auditor General states that due to lack of records, the total area of the land could not be ascertained.

The committee has also suggested making arrangements for the protection and use of the land by preparing integrated and office records of the land and property in the name of the Corporation. According to the report, 43.5 bighas of land in Dhanusha, 122 bighas in Mahottari, 27 bighas in Bara, seven bighas in Parsa, 14 ropanis in Kathmandu, 12 ropanis in Lalitpur and two ropanis in Bhaktapur have been encroached upon.

The encroached land should be protected by preparing an integrated and updated record of the land encroached upon in other districts as the corporation has not prepared a complete record of the encroached land. According to 17 (1) of the Corporation Business Management Bylaw, 1992, a separate record of the land within the jurisdiction should be prepared and updated. According to the report, the corporation has 561,990 ropanis of land in the hills and 66,320 bighas of land in the Terai in 68 different districts.
