Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment has enforced a new code of conduct for the employees working at the Ministry and its subordinate bodies.
The code of conduct issued after the restructuring of the Ministry has set the goal of systematizing the employees’ conduct, service delivery and administrative discipline. According to the Ministry, the code of conduct has been introduced with the objective of bringing the behaviour and working style of the employees under clear standards in order to make the public service fair, transparent, accountable and service-oriented.
The code of conduct has made clear the provisions related to office discipline. Employees have been instructed to follow office hours, wear prescribed uniform and maintain cooperative behavior with colleagues. It also states that government decisions, documents and sensitive details related to service recipients should not be made public in an unauthorized manner.
