Finance Ministry ready to allocate Rs 250 million to return savings of cooperatives: Minister Wagle

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has said that the government has allocated Rs 250 million this year to return the savings of the cooperatives and preparations are underway to allocate another Rs 250 million.

He said this at a meeting of the National Assembly. He said the government was working to solve the problems of cooperatives in a long-term manner. He said that the process of this has started from the Ministry of Cooperatives from yesterday.

He reminded that this amount was not distributed from the state treasury. He said that the cooperative’s property will be sold and kept in a circular fund and the money will be given to the cooperative’s savers. He said that the government has temporarily facilitated it.
