Persa. The Parsa District Court has remanded Durga Prasad Prasai, a medical practitioner and coordinator of the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Save Mega Campaign, to 3 days in custody for further investigation into the case.
Parsa police had issued an ‘urgent arrest warrant’ to Prasain on Monday night and arrested him.
Spokesperson of Parsa Police Hari Bahadur Basnet said Prasain was arrested for spreading hatred or enmity against public morality and decency and disturbing the cordial relations among different castes and communities.
“He was arrested from Siddhartha Diyalo Hotel in Birgunj on Monday night for making various kinds of indecent and unhealthy statements with hatred, hatred and contempt towards the Government of Nepal by showing baseless or unsubstantiated information about the activities of the Government of Nepal and is being remanded in custody by the Parsa District Court for three days. ” he said.
