Kathmandu. The encroached houses and huts around Dhapasi-Greenland at Tokha municipality-7 have been removed.

The municipality removed the houses and huts by using dozers of those who refused to remove the encroached structures. Earlier, the municipality had issued a 15-day notice requesting all concerned to remove the encroached houses.

Chief Administrative Officer of Dhapasi Municipality, Kamal Bhattarai, said that the removal of houses, compounds and temporary structures built on the roadside and on government land has begun in Dhapasi area since this morning.

Chief Administrative Officer Bhattarai said the move was part of a campaign to vacate the encroached land. The municipality has urged one and all not to encroach upon public land and follow the legal system.
