Kathmandu. A total of 26,888 students have applied online to receive scholarships in grade 11 and 12 from schools within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Of the applicants, 16,549 are boys, 10,333 are girls and 6 are third genders.

Out of the applicants, 23,499 applications have been approved. Education Officer and member secretary of the examination committee, Ram Chandra Khadka, said that the details of 3,302 applicants have to be corrected and the applicants have been informed through mobile and email for correction. They have to correct and resubmit the details by 12 noon tomorrow.

A help desk has been set up at the department to facilitate parents and students who feel uncomfortable in applying through the system. Parents and students will be able to get assistance from the room.

So far, 84 applications have been rejected. The same documents were kept everywhere and the forms of the applicants were rejected. According to Khadka, the opportunity for students to take the exam has been viewed sensitively. If the details or documents are not uploaded within the stipulated time, if the details are found to be incorrect, the application will be automatically canceled. The process of approving the form will continue till May 26.

The applicants who have approved the application form can download the admit card and print the color after 10:00 am on May 28. Information related to the examination center and examination can be obtained from the admit card.

Most of the applicants have filled the form for the science subject. A total of 18,996 people have filed the form. Of them, 7,271 are in management, 407 in law, 135 in education and 79 in humanities.

The ward-level committee recommends scholarships up to grade 10. For the scholarship quota of class 11 and 12, the Department of Education conducts an examination and recommends it on the basis of the results.

After the examination, the list of merit order is published. After this, the name is recommended from the matching list. The recommended students will not have to pay any kind of tuition fee in class 11/12.
