Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has reviewed the provision of permanent deposit facility.

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to provide daily fixed deposit facility to the customers from today.

Earlier, the bank had been providing permanent deposit facility on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and now it will be available within the banking transaction hours on every day of the opening of the office. According to the central bank, the principal and interest amount of this facility will be deposited in the account of the concerned institution after 3 pm the next day.

Permanent deposit facility is a provision to keep the bank or financial institution in the central bank for 1 day if it has excess liquidity.
