Kathmandu. According to the Economic Survey 2082/083 BS, 43,750 driving licenses (smart cards) have been distributed till mid-March of the current fiscal year. According to the survey, 41,14,181 driving licenses (smart cards) have been distributed so far (till March 2082).

According to the survey, 87,014 embossed number plates have been produced and 5,186 units have been installed. Till mid-March 2082, 831,059 units of embossed number plates have been produced, out of which only 88,340 units have been installed. The Embossed Vehicle Number Plate Installation Directive, 2081 BS has been approved and implemented in order to make the process of embossed number plate installation simple, systematic and effective.

According to the survey, a total of 281,921 vehicles including bus, minibus, truck, microbus, car, motorcycle were registered till mid-March of the fiscal year 208283 BS. Such number has reached 62,49,732 till mid-March 2082. According to the survey, more than 50 lakh vehicles are motorcycles among the registered vehicles.
