Kathmandu. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has recommended the government to investigate into the incident of Sept. 23 and 24 against Gauri Bahadur Karki, chairman of the commission of probe into the Jenji agitation.
The NHRC has recommended investigation into Karki on the basis of his statement in its report made public today. Karki has recommended that he be brought under the ambit of investigation on the basis of his statements made on social media before, during and after the demonstration.
The CIAA has also recommended the then Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal to investigate into the case. Aryal and Karki have said that they had made false statements on the streets during the Gen G movement.
