Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Six people have been arrested on the charge of cheating Rs 97.58 million in the name of foreign employment.
The arrestees have been identified as Ram Bahadur Alemagar of Rautamai Rural Municipality-4, Ashish Karki of Lahan Municipality-6, Lok Bahadur Shrestha of Tokha Municipality-4, Tulasa Pun Magar of the same Municipality-3, Krishna Prasad Pokharel of Tansen Municipality-7 and Praveen Shrestha of Chandragiri Municipality-11.
Among the accused, Ram Bahadur had taken Rs 39.58 lakh from four people on the pretext of sending him to Canada, Ashish had duped three people with the promise of New Zealand Rs 1.3 million, Lok Bahadur had cheated Rs 19 lakh from one person on the pretext of earning good money in the UK, Rs 1 million from one victim in the name of sending him to the United States in Tulsa, Krishna Prasad had cheated one person Rs 1 million on the promise of sending him to Dubai and Rs 6 lakh from one person on the promise of sending him to Serbia.
