Biratnagar. KATHMANDU: The Chemical Fertilizer Subsidy Directive 2082 is to be implemented in Koshi Province to sell subsidized fertilizer to farmers.
Kamal Pokharel, chief of Agriculture Inputs Company Limited, said that a committee comprising the vice-chairperson of the municipality, Agriculture Development Officer and Administrative Officer decided to distribute the chemical fertilizers.
A total of 15,921 metric tonnes of DAP, urea, potash and agricultural lime are in stock in 14 districts of Koshi Province and Siraha and Saptari districts of Madhes Province. This includes DAP (1,829 metric tonnes), 10,842 metric tonnes of urea, 3,091 metric tonnes of potash and 159 metric tonnes of agricultural lime.
DAP 50 kg (one sack) will be sold at 2,200, 50 kg of urea, 1,600 of 50 kg potash and 430 of 50 kg agricultural lime.
