Karnali. Surkhet police have arrested businessman Shyam Sundar Agrawal in possession of gold worth Rs 30 million from Birendranagar.

According to Kabindra Singh Bohara, information officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Surkhet, Agrawal was arrested with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 30 million from a shop ‘Shiva Emporia’ located near Rajachowk of Birendranagar municipality-6 on July 3.

Police confiscated 185 gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 30 million, including Rs 219,500 in Nepali currency, Rs 811,900 in different denominations, a cash counting machine and boxes containing gold and silver ornaments. Police said that Agrawal is being investigated.
