Kathmandu. Birgunj Metropolitan City Mayor Rajesh Man Singh has been arrested.

According to the police, Mayor Singh was arrested on the basis of a special information while he was hiding in Thori area of Parsa.

The Parsa police have arrested Mayor Singh 8 days after the arrest warrant was issued by the Parsa District Court.

On May 22, the Parsa District Court had issued an arrest warrant against Mayor Singh for his arrest.

The Parsa District Court has issued an arrest warrant against three persons including Mayor Singh on the complaint filed by Liaquat Ali.
