Nuwakot. Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Bikram Timilsina, has said the country was moving towards a new political culture along with development and good governance.

Addressing the first district convention of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantrik Party) at Battar of Nuwakot district today, Minister Timilsina said that the ‘setting’ and middlemen in the government bodies have been gradually coming to an end by ending the mischief that took place in the past on the basis of political access.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Minister Timilsina clarified that the government was moving ahead to make public service delivery transparent, accountable and corruption-free.TAG_OPEN_div_16 “The role of middlemen to influence decisions by alluring the government and ministers is coming to an end across the country,” Minister Timilsina said, adding, “It is necessary to change the political culture from the ward level.” According to him, the decision-making process has now reached a stage to move forward systematically without the influence of any person or middleman.

Stating that no region and community have been discriminated against in development works, he clarified that the government was focused on developing a system to ensure equal access to all citizens.TAG_OPEN_div_14 Stating that the decisions and political line of all the three tiers of government should be evaluated from a long-term perspective, the Prime Minister said that the people should get a feel of development and good governance even if all results are not visible in the short term.

Lawmaker Dr. Achutam Lamichhane, who was elected from Nuwakot-2, said that the parliament and government were working round the clock for the service of the people.TAG_OPEN_div_12 According to him, he has been mobilized as per the directive of Prime Minister Balendra Shah to calculate the days and periods.

Lawmaker Bodh Narayan Shrestha, who was elected from Dhading, pointed out the need to resolve the common development agenda of Nuwakot and Dhading together.TAG_OPEN_div_10 He was of the view that only capable leadership could solve the problem and claimed that the RSP was the only political force for that.
