Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Pravin Lamichhane has been elected the president of Nepal Reconditioned Auto Entrepreneurs Association. The third national convention and ninth-tenth annual general meeting of the association held in Kathmandu on Saturday elected Lamichhane to the post for the next term.
The newly elected executive committee elected Pradip Rana Magar as Vice-chairperson, Kumari Bogati as General Secretary, Dukpa Ghale as Secretary and Manish Raj Pandey as Treasurer. Likewise, Devendra Kumar Shrestha, Sahhardev Dhungana, Top Bahadur Poudel (Arjun), Keshav Niraula, Nawaraj Bidari, Bikash Shrestha, Tirtha Bahadur Budhathoki and Suraj Prasad Nepal have been elected as executive members.
Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province Jayaram Thapa was the chief guest of the convention chaired by Association President Ramesh Koirala. On the occasion, central member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Prayas Karki, legal advisor of the association, Rudra Dhungel, among others put their views on the development of the auto business sector, business discipline and consumer confidence.
On the occasion, journalist Kamala Bhandari was honoured with the ‘Nepal Reconditioning Auto Entrepreneurs Association Journalism Award-2083’ for her contribution to the promotion of automobile and reconditioned auto business through journalism. He was honoured with a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
The convention has also pledged to make the reconditioning auto business more systematic, transparent and consumer-friendly.
