Kathmandu. At present, there is some influence of the westerly low pressure trough, local wind and east wind in the upper atmosphere of Nepal.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of the country towards the afternoon. Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy in the Tarai region of Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be mainly clear in the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at few places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province and at one or two places of Madhes Province. Heat wave is likely to occur at some places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province and mainly fair in the Tarai region tonight.

Light rain or thunder likely to occur at few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Bagmati Province. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places of the Tarai region of Koshi province.
