Kathmandu. The meeting of the House of Representatives has begun. Today’s meeting of the House is likely to endorse the Appropriation Bill, 2083.

Similarly, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is presenting a proposal seeking the passage of the Appropriation Bill-2083 BS in the meeting. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to table the Clauses of the Appropriation Bill-2083 for a decision before that.

In today’s meeting, concerned ministers will respond to the questions raised during deliberations on the appropriation topics related to education and sports, science, technology and innovation, law, justice and parliamentary affairs, infrastructure development, home, energy, water resources and irrigation and foreign affairs ministries.

The Minister will also respond to the questions raised on the headings of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defence, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Secretariat of the National Planning Commission, the Office of the Vice-President and the Office of the President.

Speaker Aryal will table the proposals to cut off expenditure presented by 20 lawmakers on the heading of appropriation of various ministries under the Appropriation Bill-2083 BS for a decision in the meeting.

Lawmakers Kriparam Rana, Parbati BK, Jog Kumar Barbariya Yadav, Santosh Subba, Neeta Ghatani, Parshuram Tamang, Arjun Kumar Karki, Narendra Kumar Kerung, Ramesh Kumar Malla, Sajida Khatun Siddiqui, Yubaraj Dulal, Eshuda Kumari Baral, Guru Prasad Baral, Mohamad Ishtiyak Rai, Balawati Sharma, Bishnu Maya BK, Yagya Bahadur Bogati, Ain Bahadur Mahar, Pushpa Raj Kandel and Padma Kumari Aryal had proposed to cut down on the expenditures in the meeting.
