Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 1,782 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. A total of Rs 4.94 lakh revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 83 people were taken for drunken driving, 75 for ride-sharing, 82 for breaching signal lights and 110 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken for flouting lane discipline is 65, for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 68 for one-way driving and 1,141 for violating other traffic rules.
