Chitwan. The closed session of the first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is taking place today. For this, the distribution of representative identity cards is being started from 7 am today. The closed session, which was scheduled to begin at 8:30 am on Monday, was delayed by a day due to technical reasons.

According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, the closed session will begin after the distribution of ID cards in the morning. According to him, the task of verifying the list of general convention representatives received from the province and printing the general convention representative cards has not been completed.

Stating that the party was committed to avoid controversy in the process as the general convention is the supreme body of the party, he said works have been carried out to avoid any problems even if there is some delay. He informed that the distribution of cards started from 7 pm on Monday. The cards printed in the night will be distributed through the province from this morning. According to the party, the cards of the seven provinces and adjustment and passengers will be easily distributed from different places.

After the card distribution, the closed session will be conducted as per the previous schedule. According to RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, Ramakanta Rimal presented the report of the Discipline Commission at the beginning of the closed session. It will be discussed. After this, the financial report of Treasurer Lima Adhikari will be presented and discussed.

After the Treasurer’s report, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti will present the organizational report and discuss on it. After that, the party’s joint general secretary will discuss and endorse the statute. After the ratification of the statute, party President Rabi Lamichhane will present the political report, discuss and endorse it. Party President Lamichhane has announced the formation of an interim management committee and the organizing committee is likely to hand over all the responsibilities to the Election Commission. After that, the Election Commission will publish information and schedule related to the election process.

The closed session of the general convention that was inaugurated at the Guest House ground on Sunday afternoon is being held at the Exhibition Centre of the Association of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
