Kathmandu. Bird flu has been confirmed in poultry farms in Changunarayan and Suryabinayak municipalities in the district.
Veterinary doctor at the Livestock Service Office, Dr Amik Shrestha, said that 38,795 chickens reared at Changunarayan Ward No. 2, 8 and 9 have been destroyed so far.
According to him, 9,378 chickens were destroyed in Suryabinayak 1, 4 and 8 due to bird flu. According to him, 48,173 chickens have been destroyed in the district and those confirmed to be infected with bird flu have been destroyed.
