Nawalparasi. A youth died when an unidentified vehicle hit him along the East-West Highway at Kharakatta jungle of Kawasoti municipality-8 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) district.

Til Bahadur Rana Magar, 23, of Hupsekot Rural Municipality-5 was hit by an unmarked vehicle last night, according to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (East). He was seriously injured after the accident and was rescued by a traffic police team and immediately taken to Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital, Danda.

Rana Magar, who sustained serious injuries on his head and forehead, was referred to Bharatpur-based Old Medical College for further treatment. Superintendent of Police (SP) Yubaraj Khadka of District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) said that the doctors pronounced him dead this morning in course of treatment.

Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
