Kathmandu. There is possibility of rain in many places of the country today as the influence of monsoon wind continues throughout the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is at normal place at present. The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country while it is partly cloudy in the Tarai region at present. Light rain is taking place at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in Tarai region towards the afternoon. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at one or two places of Tarai region of Koshi, Madhes and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly and hilly regions of Lumbini province, Bagmati province, Gandaki province and Karnali province.

The weather will remain generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Similarly, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of the Tarai region of Madhes province.
