Chitwan distributes land ownership certificates, 34 families become landowners

Kathmandu. The District Land Problems Resolution Committee, Chitwan has distributed land ownership certificates to 34 landless Dalit, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers families of Ichhakamana Rural Municipality.

Locals who have not been able to own land in their name for a long time have become legal landowners after getting land ownership certificates. The government has intensified the distribution of land ownership certificates across the country, giving top priority to addressing the problems of landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers.

Meanwhile, land ownership certificates have been distributed to five landless Dalit and unsystematic families in Kankai municipality of Jhapa district today.

The government has continued the campaign of making landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers legal landowners in different parts of the country.
