Janakpurdham. Curfew has been imposed in various areas of Rajbiraj Municipality, the district headquarters of Saptari district, from 5:00 am today until further notice.

Issuing a notice today, the District Administration Office said that the curfew order was issued as per the decision of the District Security Committee in order to maintain peace and security in the district.

According to the order issued by Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa, the curfew is in effect in the area up to Khando Khola in the east, Judni-Dhalahi of the Postal Highway in the west, Basbitti Chowk along Rupani Road in the north and Koshi West main canal (Bishnupur Rural Municipality limit) in the south.
