Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has called on all state federations and district/town associations to remain active for social harmony.
Stating that his serious attention has been drawn towards the unrest that has surfaced in various areas of Tarai including Captain Gunj of Sunsari district for the past few days, a series of incidents and tension among the general public.
The FNJ has already called on all bodies concerned to exercise patience to maintain lasting peace by taking the present tense situation surfaced in various districts of Tarai.
The FNJ has also urged all its subordinate state federations and district/town associations to coordinate with local administration, political parties, civil society, religious leaders and local leaders to maintain brotherhood and maintain peace and security. The federation has also made a special appeal to the provincial federations and district/town associations to create an environment of peace and harmony by organizing goodwill rallies with the permission of the local administration as per the need.
Issuing a press release today, FNCCI Acting President Sur Krishna Baidya has urged all the provincial federations and district/town chambers of commerce and chambers of commerce and federations to work together to maintain social harmony.
Expressing heartfelt condolence to those who lost their lives in the incident, the FNJ has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished speedy recovery to all the injured civilians.
Reminding that Nepal has been an unparalleled example of multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural unity for centuries, the FNJ has made it clear that social unrest, clashes and violence in any pretext would cause serious negative impact on the daily livelihood of the common people as well as on the industry, trade and economic activities of the entire country. The FNCCI has also urged one and all to exercise patience, saying peace and social harmony are the main precondition for country’s prosperity and economic development.
