Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called on all the parliamentarians to reach their respective constituencies with confidence and become a strong bridge of goodwill between the citizens and the state.

During a meeting with the parliamentarians of the ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSS) representing Madhes Province at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, Prime Minister Shah reminded that it was the real responsibility of the parliamentarians to stand at the doorsteps of the people in difficult and emergency situations.

“The government was continuously and planned to address the sensitive situation emerging in Sunsari and other districts, to fully protect the life and property of the citizens and to strengthen social harmony,” he said.

The Prime Minister urged the citizens not to be disturbed and exercise patience as all organs of state mechanism were already mobilized with high alertness.

Prime Minister Shah said the government’s primary focus was to reach out to the affected people, ensure their security and conduct an impartial investigation into the incident.

“The government has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to keep peace and security efficient and to prevent the situation from escalating further,” he said.

The lawmakers took PM Shah’s request positively and expressed commitment to work in their respective constituencies immediately. They said that Prime Minister Shah’s address to the nation on Thursday has instilled a positive message, confidence and confidence among the people across the country and especially in the affected areas.

The lawmakers suggested continuing a series of intensive dialogues with religious leaders, civil society, intellectuals and representatives of local political parties from both sides to maintain long-term peace and brotherhood at the local level. Likewise, the lawmakers stressed on the need of continuously disseminating the message of positive and solidarity to maintain religious and social harmony in the tension-hit areas and to launch public awareness campaigns at the local level to protect the youths from the misconceptions and rumours circulating in social media.
