Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Consulate General in California, USA, will resume its service till August 1.
Issuing a notice, the Consulate General of Nepal in Sanfrancisco said that the passport and consular services being provided by the Consulate General in Sanfra Cisco will be available only till August 31, 2026 as the Consulate General of Nepal is in the process of closing down as per the decision of the government.
Stating that the passport and consular services would be completely closed after August 15, the notice requested the service recipients to avail the service within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the notice states that the new passport of the service recipients who had applied for passport till July 6, 2026 by physically attending the Consulate General or through the passport mobile service operated by the Consulate General has already been prepared and received at the Consulate General.
The Consulate General has urged all the applicants who are yet to receive the passport to be present at the earliest and receive their passports.
