Police arrest Magar for stealing petroleum products

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have arrested six persons along with the tanker on the charge of their involvement in the theft of petroleum products.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa, they were arrested after the oil tanker (Na 7 Kha 1539) was stolen from the Saudagar Oil Centre at Saudagar Oil Centre in Birgunj metropolis-14 bypass section.

The arrestees have been identified as Sunain Miya of Birgunj Metropolitan City-3, Aslam Hawari of Ward No. 15, Rafiq Miya of Ward No. 11, Keshar Ram Sunar of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10, Manda Singh Lama and Umesh Rana Magar of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-14.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Spokesperson Chakra Bahadur Malla said that they were arrested after they were found stealing fuel from a 20,000-litre tanker destined to be transported to Nepal Oil Corporation’s air fuel depot in Kathmandu from Barauni terminal of Indian Oil Corporation.
