Government is working slowly, taxpayers paying tax should always be respected: Ravi Lamichhane

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that the state should always respect the taxpayers paying the highest tax.

Addressing the 22nd annual general meeting of Nepal Youth Entrepreneurs Forum here today, Lamichhane said that the entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs were contributing to the state through tax and stressed the need of creating environment to encourage and respect them.

Saying questions have been raised about the government’s failure to do anything in the last four months, Lamichhane claimed that the government was working slowly. Stating that the government was moving ahead with a view to getting better results, he said the results would be visible in the days to come.

Stating that the government would fulfill its promises, Lamichhane said that they have the political power to monitor and warn the government if it deviates from its path. He said they had the capacity to “hold their ears” if the government took the wrong path.

Claiming that the government is targeting the youth, Lamichhane urged the youths to move ahead confidently to do something in the country. He said the government was focused on creating an environment conducive for creating entrepreneurship, business and employment within the country.

Lamichhane said that the state would support the youths if they pursue potential in the country, adding that the role of youths was important to strengthen the country’s economy through entrepreneurship.
