Chair of the Industry, Commerce and Labour and Consumers Welfare Committee, Rahbar Ansari urged the authorities concerned to take maximum action against those involved in black marketing of petroleum products, including scrapping the license of petrol pumps, tankers supplying petrol and gas dealers.

During a discussion with stakeholders on ‘Smooth Supply of Essential Daily Essentials’ held at Singha Durbar, Ansari directed the government to bring to book anyone involved in black marketing.

On the occasion, Ansari also directed the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and its subordinate bodies to make necessary preparations to prepare an act related to petroleum products and a bill to control black marketeery. He said reforms were being carried out after inviting the concerned bodies in the committee and holding discussions.

He also directed the concerned bodies to control the tendency of mixing chemicals in palm oil in hotels and restaurants.
