Kathmandu. Rasuwa: A huge flood has occurred in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.
The Bhotekoshi River has been flooded from the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The downstream areas have been inundated as the water level in the rivers may rise due to floods.
The floods have severely damaged Syaphrubesi, Timure and other areas of Rasuwa district.
The government has instructed the concerned security agencies, district administration offices, local levels, disaster management bodies and other stakeholders to adopt high alertness, be prepared for rescue and relief and take all necessary steps.
I have requested all the people living on the banks of the rivers and in the risky areas of Rasuwa and Nuwakot to adopt special alertness.
Do not travel to riverbanks, places prone to landslides, and unnecessary travel. It has urged all to abide by the information and warnings issued by the local administration, security agencies and official bodies.
