KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said that time has put them in a position to answer every question asked by the youths from the streets.

Issuing a press release, President Lamichhane said that the ‘Genji’ movement was not a movement called by any particular party. “Time has brought us to the place where we answered every question asked by the youths from the streets yesterday. And it has also reminded us that tomorrow someone will stand up again to demand answers from us,” Lamichhane said in a press release.

President Lamichhane also clarified that the Jenji movement was not a movement called by any particular party. “It was not a movement called by any particular party, it was a completely spontaneous awakening,” he said, adding, “Therefore, no political party or leader should dare to make it a tool for their narrow political gains.” ”

President Lamichhane reminded that exactly one year ago on this day, a new awakening explosion took place in the history of Nepal. “The conscious youth generation of Nepal (Genji) had taken to the streets with a peaceful but firm resolve against the despair created by the corruption, party division, institutional incompetence, control over the fundamental rights and lack of opportunities that had been entrenched for years,” he said, adding, “It is the most painful moment to see the blood of the younger generation shed while speaking the voice of change.” “May what happened in this country on September 23 and 24 should never be repeated.” ”

President Lamichhane expressed his heartfelt tribute to all the martyrs who lost their lives while raising their voice demanding civil rights, rule of law and corruption-free society, wishing that no mother’s lap should be emptied in this country for change. Expressing respect to all those mutilated, injured and suffered mental and physical injuries during the movement, he expressed confidence that the state would fulfill its responsibility of providing proper care to the families concerned, treatment of the injured and long-term rehabilitation.

Likewise, President Lamichhane urged the youths, civil society and the general public to continue their constructive vigilance and ruthless review of their performance.

President Lamichhane said that all should be united in this historic journey of transforming civic anger into the power of nation building by not allowing the narrative of despair to be established in the general psychology. “I express my firm resolve that we will not deviate even an inch from the path of rule of law, equitable prosperity and national self-respect created by that storm of awakening,” he said.
