US Charge d’ Affaires Boldyn meets PM Shah, urges him to encourage increased US investment

Kathmandu. Acting Ambassador to the US Embassy Megan Boldin called on Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Tuesday.

PM Dahal underscored the need for further strengthening global collaboration and collective efforts to reduce and address climate disaster risks and its impacts.

According to PM’s press and research expert Deepa Dahal, Prime Minister Shah highlighted Nepal’s unique tourism potential and opportunities that could be mutually beneficial through its development and requested him to promote the growth of US investment in Nepal.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Shah expressed gratitude to the US for its support and solidarity to Nepal in the aftermath of the Bhotekoshi floods.

Acting Ambassador Boldin expressed sadness over the loss of life and property due to the floods and expressed solidarity with the Government of Nepal and the people of Nepal in this difficult time. He said that the US government is ready to assist in relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
